They are usually in bright colours that contrast to
the background to make it stand out.

magazine to make sure it becomes familiar to the
reader.

show the reader how up to date they are
with the magazine issues.
7. The main image that is used on the contents page relates
to the main cover line on the front of the magazine. It also
uses the same artist as it has on the front page.
Also either near the image or overlapping the image there
is a page number and an article title and sometimes a
quote from the interview from the article that the artist are
in.
8. All of the page numbers that are on the contents page have
an article title that gives the reader a little hint as to what
the article is all about. It gives the reader a hint but also
makes them want to look further into the magazine to read
the other articles. The article titles on the page are usually
in capital letters to separate them from the smaller
explanatory text that is given. The smaller text highlights
what the article is going to be about in a few words.
9. There is the website written on the page, usually
near the date and issue number. This gives the
reader alternative ways to access that magazine.
10. There is a separate section on the contents page for
the feature articles. Feature articles are used every
month and show the reader different things that is in
the magazine such as posters or concert review etc.
