The First Golden Corral was opened in Fayetteville,
North Carolina back in 1973,a fledgling Golden
Corral Corporation took a confident step in the
restaurant business, beginning a tradition of
offering all of our guests real wholesome foods in a
family friendly atmosphere at a great value.Nearly
40 years later, Golden Corral is well known as
America’s #1 buffet and grill.

Having started with one small
steakhouse,Golden Corral has grown into
one of the nation’s strongest family
restaurant chains.The ability to adapt to
changing tastes allowed Golden Corral to
continue growing during the 1980s and the
1990s as changes in eating habits and
increased competition brought drastic
change to the family steakhouse business.

company help
you?
Success continued in the 2000s as well—by
2003 the company operated and franchised
467 restaurants throughout the United states ,
serving 167.5 million.They They may have
started on a shoestring, but Golden Corral's
cofounders had big plans. "We set out from
day one to do multiple units," said Maynard.
Using money from sales and lease-backs,
bank loans, and internally generated cash, the
young company grew rapidly.
