Ed Hackbarth and David Jameson opened the first Del Taco restaurant in Yermo, CA in 1964. By 1978, Del Taco had grown to 100 restaurants across multiple states, with an expanded menu. Del Taco further increased its size and reach through a merger with the Naugles restaurant chain and began operating 24/7. Currently, Del Taco operates or franchises over 526 restaurants across 16 states.
