FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE<br /> <br /> <br />VILLAGE ON THE GREEN ANNOUNCES NEW RESTAURANT <br />Mughlai Restaurant Coming Soon<br />DALLAS (May 5, 2011) – Village on the Green, the mixed-use development adjacent to the Galleria Dallas, announced today that a lease has been signed with operators to open a new dining destination called Mughlai Restaurant. <br />The 4,043-square-foot restaurant located at the intersection of Alpha and Noel Roads will feature fine Indian cuisine and is slated to open this summer in July. <br />Mughlai Restaurant owner Javeed Khan and his wife Sonia come from a family with 30 years of operating upscale restaurants that specialize in the art of Indian Mughal dining. Sonia’s father Satish Mehtani has operated eight restaurants in New Jersey and two in Massachusetts under different Indian names prior to opening the newest Dallas location at Village on the Green.<br />“We are looking forward to bringing fine Indian cuisine and a unique dining experience to our fans in Dallas,” states owner Javeed Khan. <br />Mr. Mehtani has welcomed into his restaurants the heads of state from four countries, including the United States, India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. In addition, Mr. Mehtani has been invited to the White House six times and introduced his style of Indian cuisine to former President Bill Clinton in 1995.<br />Some menu highlights from Mughlai Restaurant include the appetizer Dhahi Kabab, described as lentil patties, filled with cottage cheese, pan-grilled and served with mint and tamarind chutney; an unleavened bread cooked in a clay oven called Rosemary Naan; vegetables including Kurkari Bhindi, deep-fried strips of okra marinated in spices and dry mango powder; as well as entrees such as Black Pepper Malai Kabab, Tandoori Salmon and Lamb Vindaloo, which is marinated with red and black peppers, potatoes and pickled onions and finished with vinegar.<br />Michael Wheat, executive vice president, director of leasing states, “It is a delight to welcome this upscale dining option to Dallas.
