Working Title:
What is it called? This can change if you think of something better later
It was originally called Techno Gamer but I changed it to Game Query as it has a catchier name.
Product’s Purpose:
What is the product’s purpose (entertain/educate etc.) and how will you achieve this?
The products purpose is to entertain my chosen audience. By having Interesting images,
exclusive content and colour schemes.
Genre:
What sort of product is it
It’s a gaming magazine
Content
What is your product about? Discuss what you would put in it (be specific). Does it have a story? If
so, discuss it here
There will be an interview on the game – different moral choices, puzzle solutions and
faults/quirks of the game. There will also be a review on the game – the puzzles, looks,
colours, mechanics, dialogue, plot and of course, the number 3
Audience:
Who is your audience? Be very detailed; age, gender, social status, psychographic etc.
Why would your project appeal to this person?
The age range will be from teenagers to young adults (15-24) to bring in a higher range
demographic, and that is the age of people who mainly play video games and would read
something about video games. It will be aimed more to the male target; they will be of a D&E
social status, as they are the most affordable and worthy to this group. The psychographic of the
audience will be needs driven, as those are the type of people most willing to buy this product as it
provides them entertainment for a good price. My project will appeal to this type of person because
it will include simple but interesting dialogue and easy to understand language.
Legal & Ethical Considerations:
Think about any offensive material you will include? Death, cake, betrayal, crude humour,
potatoes, lemons.
Will you restrict younger people using/accessing it? No
Will it offend any social groups/religions/ethnicities? Maybe people that have various religions, as it
is a scientific game and people who don’t like video games.
How will you ensure you do not offend anyone? I’ll have someone else check over the magazine
and point out any potential flaw.
Are you using characters/names/logos of existing products/IPs? Yes, valve, portal 1 and two,
some characters/music from that, they will all probably be mentioned.
Will your product be sufficiently different from existing products to not get sued for copyright
infringement? Yes, I will have unique colours, dialogue layout and a style of wit in the
interview/review.
