Swaggart Brothers Inc. (SBI) Hermiston, OR: Project engineer, acts as on site coordinator between
field and office to facilitate project success. Responsibilities include budget control, procurement,
labor tracking, material tracking, cost coding, estimating, document control, issuing RFI’s/submittals,
and quality control/quality assurance. Able to assist project manager in updating, maintaining, and
expediting schedules to meet or exceed project deadlines. Field experience with project start up,
close out, punch list, and commissioning.
Summer 2013
Active Construction Inc. (ACI), Puyallup, WA: Intern, estimating department. Assisted lead estimator
utilizing HCSS Heavy Job Manager and Heavy Bid software systems. Verified cost codes and input data
into systems; tracked invoice payments for accounting staff; monitored inventory of warehouse
through systems. Other duties included coordinating deliveries to job sites, estimating quantities to
confirm preliminary estimates, assisting job site foreman to verify fence boundaries, and compiling
project data to aid ACI in marketing for future work.
King County Facilities Management Division, Seattle, WA: Unpaid internship. Participated in job site
meetings with County Project Manager on two projects: District Court Relocation (26,000 sf major
tenant improvements, Contractor: Kirtley Cole ) and Harborview Medical Center Vascular Operating
Room (conversion of storage space to operating room, Contractor: Swinerton Builders). Learned how
job site meetings are conducted and meeting minutes are recorded; how to manage work area in an
operating hospital (negative pressure, dust and infection control).
Summer 2012
TI Design, Seattle WA: Residential Remodel. Assisted lead carpenter in general carpentry. Duties
included installation of footing posts, rough framing, electrical rough-in, insulation, and roofing.
Acquired skills/knowledge: job sequencing in a constrained site, adherence to strict schedule
requirement, communication skills in a team environment, basic quality control skills (do it once)
Summer 2010-2011
Mountain Madness and Chocolatine Travel Adventure Businesses: Transportation coordinator for
Mountain Madness; arranged tour transportation. Bookkeeping responsibilities for both Mountain
Madness and Chocolatine using Excel and custom company software. Learned daily operations of a
small business, organizational skills, accuracy with data and input.
