One of the most brilliant successes of Greek in general and Athen in particular, Acropolis relic ( which were architectural ensembles included temples, walls that were built on high hills and used for ceremonial or religious. This relic had 4 main parts such as The Propylées gate , The Erechtheion temple, The Athena Nike temple. However, the main temple- Parthenon is the radiant masterpiece which represented most of the Greek’s cultural elite at that time.

- It is the ultimate expression of the golden age of Pericles, when democracy was born.
- -The purpose of this temple was showing reverence and worship of Greek civilians for Athena – the protective deity of the country. In fact, the Parthenon used to use as an arsenal for the Delian league who became Athena Emprie.

Until now, the Parthenon was underwent a several changes its form such as became a Christian church, a Roma Church, mosque.
In 1687 AD, This temple were damaged by the explosion
In 1975 and 2004, the Parthenon was restoring.
- The Parthenon achieved that "ideal" status only in relatively modern times, in the late, when the first detailed pictures of the structure were published and the Elgin Marbles removed to London, the Parthenon was perceived only as a superb work of the Classical Greek period.
QUYNH

Athena’s birth is dramatized.
The reclining statues create a series of zig zag planes.
Statues have no facial expression or individual personality.
The most striking correspondence between the two sides of the east pediment occurs at the angles.
The horse shows Pidias’s understanding of anatomy => classic aesthetic.
Most of Doric Sculptures were shown the debate of Greek in other countries. In the west was the war of Greek and Amazon, the Trojan War on the north. Sadly, most of the sculptures in three sides of this temple were destroyed and we did not have any evidences for this because of the destruction of The Parthenon ( QUỲNH)

The figure show a marshal dressing, followed by several men preparing the horses
This show the beginning of the procession proper.
The first women celebrants they carry the sacrificial instruments & paraphernalia.
They have evidently handed the marshal a kanoun, making the girl kanephoros.
The depiction of the kanephoros in art presents an interesting problem.
It’s mentioning the name of honourable women in ancient Greek society.
-The room surrounding the statue is called the Naos
- Flanked by a colonnade of double decked Doric columns.
Long rows of columns: colonnades.

The temple was a combination between Doric outside and Ionic insides; however the Doric was a main style. The reason for that may because the Doric was soiled, little vignettes, with meaning calm and noble, providing solid feel for religious buildings.
We may see that the revolution of Greek sculpture at were represented in Parthenon’s sculptures such as the appearance of democracy and the destruction of the aristocracy. The image of human was portrayed by honest way in order to crown their brave, fresh . In addition, the image of woman was accepted and more flexible than pervious century.

the Parthenon was built for the purpose by the goddess Athena protection, the sacred place, it was not intended for mass gatherings. Therefore, the temple is almost no social function, but through architecture and religious traditions to express their social values. sacred temple of the Athenian empire became one of the first cradles of human civilization: philosophy, art and democracy culture.
