enjoy my role of dealing with patients and the varied requests and issues they have in a polite and

I started work in this Surgery as a part time junior receptionist and I’m now working full time as
Senior Receptionist. As well as the regular duties of a Receptionist, (answering the phone,
booking/cancelling appointments and/or liaising with hospitals, nurses or pharmacies or translating)
some of my responsibilities as a senior include dealing with Adastra, CMC, NHS Health Check
Up, GP2GP, registrations (FP’s), SCR, prescriptions, Mjog, scanning/summarising and orders
as well as arranging meetings, assisting to medical commissioning group meetings as required and
organising and leading the Patient Participation Group every 3 to 4 months. I´m also first contact for
patients requesting private letters, reports or forms and payments.

As part of the receptionist team in this busy surgery I worked in a busy pressurised environment
whilst answering the phone, booking appointments, taking messages or transferring / holding calls.

made calls to different medical centres to arrange translators, transport, chase patients’ test results
or appointments.
