1. Target audience
The Grid is a Arts progressive channel. These channels have a target audience that starts at the age of 16 and onwards
and these are the type of people who are tired of seeing the same thing over and over again and want to see something
different and new. This theme plays into the idents involving graffiti and the rubix cubes which gives our audience a
sense of what are purpose is and that we want the same thing as them. The cutting point of where the audience range
ends is usually in
Medium of delivery and specifications
The medium that these idents will be presented will be in animations and in live action. It will be delivered in video
form in a 1080i50 broadcast standard format for television. It’s a high definition quality. This will be perfect for online
and social media use as well as television use
The content for my idents is going to involve a lot of motion graphics that are made using photoshop with the help of the timeline in order to not limit
the ident into a single still image. I have made 5 so far and they are made enough variety in font design and colours so they do not look the same. One of
those idents include a plain Gird logo being vandalised with loads of graffiti, cause my target audience is aimed a younger generation feel having their
trademark redecorating a plain ident references how these are the type of people that are tired of seeing the same thing over again on TV. I have also
got some ideas for some live action idents that I aim to create. I will shoot using actual DSLR camera’s. These idents will involve rubix cubes and the
footage will be sped up. I have also used a rubix cube in one of the idents I have made on photoshop. The rubix cube I feel is going to be one of my selling
point as its filled with different colours it reflects the channels. intent of trying different things in order to stand out.
Purpose
The purpose of these idents is to inform viewers of the purpose of this channel and who are target audience is without beating them over the head with it. For
example the ident involving the graffiti is reflective of who the target audience as well as commenting on our purpose being to break new ground in terms of TV
broadcasting. Teenagers often graffiti on public property to show off their artistic side and by representing that audience through graffiti it puts further
emphasis on how The Grid is for the more artistic side of TV making rather than being there to make money. The Grid is also for diverse content where the
same thing isn’t broadcasting all the time and there is a lot of different genres for different audiences to chew on and I have shown this through a rubix cube
showing off different colours. My live action ident will have a rubix cube with all the colours in the right place until I flipped around into different colours.
Another example shows a grid that has different colours in different squares, hitting that point home of the channels intent.
2. Management and Roles
I have already designed some stills for my idents but I need help on making them move to how I want them to move. For example the ident
involving the colourful grid. I may need some help on making the colours move into different boxes because of my limited knowledge on
how to fully utilize Photoshop’s features. I will also need extra help on making the animated rubix cube move like a rubix cube which might
be a feature that photoshop wont be able to do. I may also need assistance when I am filming my footage for the live action ident that I will
be working on and I may need someone to provide me with a rubix cube to film.
Budget
I will not be making idents using any budget. I will make the idents using Photoshop with the help of adobe premiere for
editing my footage and maybe after effects to work on animations that I have made stills for on Photoshop.

other outlets and why their projects work and how you can apply their hard work on to your own, which is exactly what I am doing with my
ident project. Its thanks to planning that I now have thought of ideas for my idents and how I should present them. Without planning I
wouldn’t have thought of them in the first place and I wouldn’t have as many ideas as I do now. It also helps reduce stress because I am not
panicking about how my idents are going to look because I have already planned and designed some on Photoshop.
