ESL/EFL Lesson Ideas for Japanese elementary School

In grade 2
 Pre teaching start with the bug names.
In here , students repeating the teacher words .
 In learning the teacher using a rhythm machine.
Its means that when they doing the learning
process there is a music rhythm. And the teacher
said the material that they are learn.
Teacher : Do you like … ?
Students : yes, I do / no, I don’t
they practice with following the beat.
-And then after that the teacher ask the student do
doing question and answer . half the class asks
questions, and the other half answers. And after
they doing the question and answer with their
friends , now the teacher just only say the name of
the bug . and the student must answer together.
-After that activity the teacher just point of the card
and students make the questions.
 Still with the rhythm machine , the students ask to
the teacher with the question that they have learn
and the teacher answer it .
 And they play the “ what’s missing”.- the students
take the picture and the student should guess what
is the missing picture.
Grade 3
 Learning the alphabet with a game with called “
next three letters”
-And play it with magnetic letters.
-The leader of each group must come forward
and answer the games. And their friend can help
them .
-With shout out the answer.
-after that the games doing with writing.
-The fastest get 2 point. And doing correctly get 1
point. And the neatest writing get 3 point.
# The next three letters is success and a valuable
teaching tool.
Grade 5&6
 Passport English Teaching program
-Every student must have a passport card for
doing this method. The passport card inclue
country, population, language, famous place,
famous people, etc.
-First we visit many country and doing many
activity and write on passport card.
 The next game is write the name of 9 people and
ask them . it should the different country.
 The next game is writing game number one . –
the teacher speak the word on their passport and
the student write it in the blackboard. the fastest
will get the point .
 Writing game number two ; “the last letter game ..”
-The student must choose any word that starts
with the last letter from the previous word. Working
on fluency not accuracy.
