Toastmaster script on new normal simulation dry run
1. TOASTMASTER’S SCRIPT
Simulation on School Opening Readiness
Under New Normal SY 2020-2021
All sectors worldwide, including education, have been devastated by the impacts
of COVID-19 pandemic.
“WE sense that ‘normal’ isn’t coming back, that we are being born into a new
normal:
a new kind of society,
a new relationship to the earth,
a new experience of being human.”
As we approach the new normal, there is a need to consider education anew in the
light of emerging opportunities and challenges.
A pleasant morning to everyone present …

V. FITNESS SHOW.
While not much is known yet about fighting COVID-19, we do know that exercise
has been helpful during previous flu epidemics.
A study performed on 24,656Chinese adults who died during the 1998Hong Kong
flu outbreak showed that mild to moderate exercise reduced the risk of dying. Other
studies performed on mice demonstrated that regular exercise two to three months
before an infection reduced the severity of the illness.
While it’s not clear why or how exercise increases your immunity to certain illnesses,
there are several theories. According to Medlineplus, physical activity may help flush
bacteria out of the lungs and airways, reducing the probability that you will catch a cold
or flu, including COVID-19.
So, ladies and gentlemen, please stand and join our fitness show… Enjoy, move and
groove along with a Zumba Dance Video we have prepared for everyone.
…
In addition to what I have mentioned earlier, EXERCISE changes antibodies and
white blood cells, which are the cells in the immune system that fight disease. When you
exercise, these antibodies and white blood cells circulate in your body more rapidly, so
they can potentially detect and fight illnesses earlier than they might have if you didn’t
exercise.

VIII. INSPIRATIONAL MESSAGE.
3. The COVID-19 global pandemichas plundered all aspects of life. Healthcare professionals
across the nation are under unprecedented pressure to ensure best patient care while balancing
protection of their own health and that of their families. Healthcare systems are struggling to find
solutions with limited resources. There is fear surrounding our very existence, and each day
appears to bring worse news than the one before.
Amidst these challenges, it is important to keep hope alive. As a prayerful nation, we
should be reassured that God is still in control and will see us through these difficult times, through
His love and sufficient grace.
So, May I hand in the mic to our very own District In Charge, Mrs. Violeta B. Boldios for
an inspirational message….Inspirational Message by Mrs. Violeta B. Boldios.
IX. SOLIDARITY SONG.
The uncertainty and stress of the corona virus nipping at our heels might be the
biggest battle any of us has ever fought outwardly. But what about the ones each of us
fights on the inside every day of the pandemic? What about the fears, insecurities, self-
doubts, and hopelessness?
During hard times, it helps to turn to a motivational SONG for inspiration.
Ladies and gentlemen, Let us sing all together an inspirational song netitled “FIGHT
SONG’ by Rachel Platten.
