Implementation of Homeroom Guidance for school
year 2021-2022, Homeroom Guidance is a
comprehensive, developmental and proactive
program designed to equip learners with life skills on
three domains: academic development, personal and
social development and career development which
are essential tools for students’ personal progress
and growth.
With the interactive activities that
students need to accomplish, they will be able to
recognize their role as young citizens in the
community. As a teacher/ adviser, I was also given a
chance to guide and understand my students better
especially this timeof pandemic.
Through the implementation of
Homeroom Guidance, most parents/guardians
became more active. Their participation was very
evident despite the learning modality (online and
modular) this school year.
If Homeroom Guidance will be fully
implemented during face to face modality , DepEd’s
goal, which is to produce holistically develop
Filipinos who are able to understand themselves,
have problem solving skills, make informed
decisions, achieve academic success, plan for their
future ad respect individual differences will be
achieved successfully.
