2. The target audience for our media production are both sexes of the
age 15 to mid-twenties, the target audience will consist of both
males and females as it is not aimed mostly at one gender, there is
no certain sex because neither differ in their need seek the thrill of
a drama however to it may swing more towards male due to the SC-
FI feel within the film. We have aimed for a very young target
audience and this is mainly because we have used young characters
in the film and people around this age tend to be quite interested in
Sci-fi. However that is not only our young niche, the older
generations really grew up with the SC-FI genre and therefore will
still be interesting in viewing my film beginning. However my main
target audience would be one that my not get on brilliant at school
or during the school times, this therefore means they would be
interested in the underdog story that is my film opening. This is a
person who can’t play sports brilliant, finds it hard to talk to girl and
maybe has ache. In a school playground you would find them on
their own due to themselves being solitary people but not from
choice.
3. Possible activities and hobby's-
• Hobbies, games, and
activities that are described
as obsessive and
"immature", such as trading
cards, comic
books, fantasy and science
fiction novels, role-playing
games, table top
games, and video games.
• Interest in the fine
arts, non-mainstream
music, hobbies
• Heavy obsession with a
topic that would otherwise
be mainstream
Most likely to take very
academic subjects at
school such as
Maths, Sciences and
Languages
Diet can contain
very fatty
foods, such as fast
foods more energy
based like red bulls
and mountain dew
for drinks
Clothes likely to be worn are that
other very minor designers due to
maybe having parents by their
cloths, so more GAP, Next and H&M
Most likely to go on out of
school and acquire a well
paid high up managerial job
4. I attracted my target audience really through a
complete narrative change, at first my narrative
was a serious, action packed SC-FI from begin to
end however I felt like this would not attract my
target audience due to normalness and how this
has been done over and over. I changed the
narrative to be a little more light hearted and
have a main character the audience could relate
to and ultimately a underdog story. This would
attract the main bulge of the target audience due
to the fact that people like a character they can
relate and aspire to.
5. -Loved the main character, found him witty
and charming – Rory Brown
-Elaborate narrative, would love to know the
rest of the story - Tyler Radcliffe
-I felt like the way the main character was
portrayed made him instantly likeable and
relatable, would definitely watch the rest –
Emily Pollitt
-Seems like a heart warming tale of a teenage
boy who's get a amazing gift – Julie Lax
