2. INTRODUCTION:-
Buerger's disease (also known as thromboangiitis obliterans) affects
blood vessels in the body, most commonly in the arms and legs. Blood
vessels swell, which can prevent blood flow, causing clots to form. This
can lead to pain, tissue damage, and even gangrene (the death or decay of
body tissues)
5. PATHOPHYSIOLOGY
Due to etiological factors
Acute inflammation of the vein
Hand and feet
Vasculitis
Decreased blood supply to skin
Gangrene formation
Buerger’s disease

7. MANAGEMENT :-
•Patient must stop the smoking.
•Medication such as vasodilators, anticoagulants.
•Intermittent compression of arm and legs to increase blood flow
to extremities.
•Don’t expose the affected area to heat or cold.
•Amputation if infection or gangrene occurs.
