2. MY PRINT PRODUCTS
In order to capture the attention of young people, I plan to
develop 3 posters which will persuade the younger generation
to become more involved in volunteering to help charities.
I will also create an advert for a radio station to raise awareness
that specific volunteer roles are available for young people.
The charity who I will be working with is the Great Ormond street
hospital in association with Guerilla Youth. My presentation
will include 3 drafts of my posters to raise awareness of the
volunteering help needed.
3. PRODUCT 1
My first product for my campaign will be a poster. I plan to use images taken from
Great Ormond street hospital on my poster so my target audience are aware
who the volunteering opportunity is associated with. I will also need to keep in
consideration Guerilla Youth.
My target audience is male/female teenagers who are willing to cooperate with a
volunteer project. In order to target my specific audience, I plan to use purple
as my house style as it is the chosen colour for great Ormond streets logo
and the colour also appeals to both sexes.
I will incorporate other colours which will stand out, images and a possible short
quote from an anecdote to capture the readers attention. An anecdote will
help persuade my target audience to volunteer from the sympathy created.
On my poster I will be advertising a bake sale in which the teenagers can
become involved with. By creating a bake sale I believe teenagers will
perhaps be more interested in the campaign.
4. PRODUCT 3
My third print product idea is to advertise for a volunteer event that appeals to
boys and girls. This will be a fun run that will take place in secondary schools
around Hertfordshire.
I will advertise the events by using a colourful poster, but still keeping in mind to
use the same fonts and using the guerilla youth logo along with the great
Ormond street hospital logo.
My target audience is teenage boys and girls ages 13-17. in order to attract my
target audience I should incorporate bright colours but a consistent house
style throughout my products and a variety of images. For each poster I will
include one main image as the back ground
5. PRODUCT 2
My idea is to create an advertisement that will appear inside a magazine which
appeals to teenage girls. This advertisement will be advertising the
volunteering event of going a whole week without makeup! I believe
teenagers will be willing to take part in this challenge as they will know the
sponsor money will be going to a good cause.
In the advertisement I will use my original images and include again great
Ormond street images, quotes, bold colours and persuasive language. I will
use the same font throughout and vary my slogans. I will also include the
guerilla youth and great Ormond street logos on all 3 of my print products
6. RADIO PRODUCT
I will create a short radio podcast giving information on the hospital and the help
they need. I will include anecdote as a persuasive technique, however I will
include a variety in order to persuade my target audience to volunteer at my
chosen fundraising events and also advertise my three print products and
their events.
