2. INTRODUCTION
GSM based agriculture system is automatic control system which capable of
receiving a set of command instructions and performs the necessary actions
like Start , Stop.
The mobile unit which is dedicated at the motor driver is interfaced with an
intellectual device called Micro controller so that it takes the responsibility of
reading the received commands in the form of call from the mobile unit and
perform the corresponding predefined tasks such as motor start, stop.
In this circuit we have also used a water level buzzer to
stop the motor in case we don’t want to stop the motor by using mobile unit.
This project is divided into two parts.
● GSM modem circuit
● GSM control circuit
4. GSM modem circuit
we use SIM300 modem to send serial data from
microcontroller unit mcu to mobile. Its works on 800 /900
/1800 Mhz frequency. We will use max 232 ic for
communication between mcu and modem. We send serial data
from mcu to sim300.
5. GSM control circuit
GSM modem circuit is to send alert when electricity detected. we will use
GSM Technology for this purpose. We will use 9170 IC for dtmf signal from
mobile using headphone. This IC with mcu is used for stopping and starting
the motor by mobile unit. We are using electromagnetic relay for controlling
electrical device or motor.
We are using MAX 232 circuit for serial programming purpose. We
are attached RS232 at the output side of the MAX232 IC. There are two pins
of the MAX232 at the output side.
1) Transmitter
2) Receiver
In this we have also used a water level circuit to stop the motor in case we
don’t want to stop the motor by using mobile unit.
A alert circuit is also added with it.
6. Application
● The main application of this circuit is for
irrigation system.
● it is also used as a water level indicator
circuit.
