Difference between CV & Resume
CV (Curriculum Vitae)
 A curriculum vitae (CV) provides information of
one’s experience and skills.
 CVs include information on one’s academic
background including teaching experience, degrees,
research, awards, publications, presentations and
other achievements.
 A CV is a way to quickly and concisely convey one’s
skills and qualifications.
Resume
 Resumes are the most common document requested
of applicants in job applications.
 A resume provides a summary of your education,
work history, credentials and other accomplishments
and skills.
 There are also optional sections, including a resume
objective and career summary statement.
CV Resume
 Descriptive
 Length varies from 2-3
pages.
 It includes all the skills
and achievements.
 Concise
 Length is 1 page. May
vary upto 2 pages only.
 It includes information
that is relevant for the
particular job.
