2. • I attracted my audience by taking inspiration from Kerrang! to appeal
to teenagers. The cover of Kerrang! Magazines are always bold, bright
and busy so I used the same strategy to achieve and appealing looking
cover.
• I used bright yellow, black and red text as these colours would draw
attention from teenagers if they were browsing as they are bold. Also
they might recognise the signature Kerrang! Colours and
subsequentially associate them with the music genre I am basing my
magazine on.
3. • The model in the photograph on the cover is looking at the camera,
which draws attention from a buyer as the eye contact catches their
attention.
• The model has facial piercings and black hair, each of which is
associated with the ‘gothic’ subculture that commonly goes with the
genre of metal and rock. This informs the buyer straight away of the
theme of the magazine.
4. • The bold text I used for the magazine title and cover lines resemble
the fonts used in Kerrang! so the buyer would associate this with
Kerrang! And be drawn in by the appearance.
