Inspiration

1. Payphone
The music video for the song “Payphone” performed by “Maroon 5” has influenced my
decision on the way in which I want to filmmy music video. In this particular music video
only one particular bit has had a major effect on me. The particular bit of the music video
that has done this is the bit in which the man is sing down the phone.
The fact that the man is able to show
emotion and sing down the phone, explaining his emotions from one single place had a
major effect on me and just captivated me and got my attention. It also made it easier for
me to follow and understand what is actually going on and not confuse me as a viewer.
Another reason why the music video captivated
me is because of the variety of camera angles that can be shot from different perspectives
that show different emotions trying to be conveyed from both the song and also Adam. An
example of this can be shown from the picture above which is a mid-shot showing the
destruction behind Adam and also the agony and pain shown by his body language and face.

2. The final and main reason why the music video had a major effect on me is because of the
simplicity of the music video. Due to the simplicity of the music video, it is easy to
understand what the main aimof the music video is. Another main reason is because of the
main reason is because the music video coincides with the lyrics in the song.
