2. WordPress This is the home page of my WordPress blog.
As you can see, I have customized it with a theme, my own
fonts, my own colors, and a header image.
3. Blog Posts This is a section of my favorite blog post that I have
written. As you can see, there are pictures, links, and if you go to
the actual blog post, you will see that I also have a drop quote. I
have also included videos in some of my other blog posts. I have
added categories and tags to my blog posts as well. Seen on the
right side of the post you will find my widgets, such as the search
bar, the subscribe button, and the links to my Facebook and
Twitter.
4. Blog Posts As you can see insinuated by the arrow, I have a total of 10
blog posts. Some of them include images, some include videos, and some
include links. Some of the blogs covered assigned topics from the course,
such as How To Make the Perfect Title For Your Blog Posts, which
addressed an article of Mari Smith’s. Also, Mobile and Location-Based
Marketing addressed a video of Deltina Hay’s.
5. Feed Reader The RSS feed reader account that I made was
through feedly.com. I subscribed to seven different feeds: CMT
News, The Etsy Blog, Dessert for Two, My Baking Addiction,
Journal Of Orthopaedic & Sports Physical Therapy, The Journal Of
Bone & Joint Surgery, and This Way to Paradise.
6. Twitter This is my Twitter account. Since my WordPress blog was
linked to my Twitter, my posts showed up on my account (you can see
my most recent blog post at the bottom of the picture shown below).
Also, in my most tweet I included an image, I made some hashtags,
and I also tagged some friends.
7. Facebook This is both my personal Facebook profile as well as my
Social Media Facebook page. Both of the pages have my WordPress blog
posts linked to them, so my posts show up on both of them. As indicated
by the arrow on the Social Media Facebook page, a “Contact Us” button
directs visitors to my WordPress blog.
8. LinkedIn This is my LinkedIn account, which is one of my favorite social
media sites. It is the professional site of social media. I have joined a few
different groups, one being Social Media. Also, I posted one of my blog posts
to LinkedIn. Being able to include all of my career and education experience
for the possibility of job opportunities is something that I really enjoy being a
part of.
9. Pinterest This is my Pinterest account. You can see that I have
12 boards and am following 23 pinners. Also, the pin in the middle
of the picture is one that I uploaded myself. It includes a link that
takes pinners directly to a blog post that I summarize in the
description of my pin.
10. Flickr This is the Flickr account that I created. I have uploaded
two images of my own and created one album. I also have used
other people’s Flickr images within my own blog posts.
11. YouTube This is the YouTube channel that I created. I have uploaded a
video of my own, as shown below. I have subscribed to three channels that
I was interested in: Bobby Bones, The Ellen Page, and Rose State
College. I also favorited some videos to make a playlist of my own. I was
even able to customize my channel and add a link to my blog post, as
indicated by the arrow below.
12. Delicious This is the Delicious account that I created. I have added
five bookmarked links to my profile. I have added my own descriptions
and tags, which can be seen at the bottom of each post as well. Also, at
the top of my profile you will see that I have integrated my Wordpress
blog with my Delicious profile.
13. Digg This is my Digg account. As you can see, these are the
posts that I have saved, or the posts that I “digg.” I also added
some of my own tags to these articles.
14. HootSuite This is my HootSuite account. This site is neat because it
links together all of your social media accounts. As you can see, I have
separated mine by the tabs at the top, shown by the arrow. I have my
WordPress blog, my Twitter account, and my LinkedIn account all on
my HootSuite account.
15. Engaging With Other Students’ Blog Posts As you can see, I
have responded to three of my classmate’s blog posts: Tori Ukpaka, Christine
Napier, and Jasmine McKinney.
16. Interacting on D2L As you can see, I have created my own
post on the D2L Facebook Obsession discussion, as well as
responded to a classmate’s post.
17. Overall, I learned a lot of new information in
this course. I was exposed to things online that I
have not explored or even heard of before, and it
was a very interesting experience. I cannot wait to
utilize all of my new social media accounts in the
future, as well as continue to post on my blog even
after this class concludes!
