This is a simple How To: for the first blog assignment

Pertinent Blog Information
1. If your email address does not have access to a blog account, then
it will be necessary to create a gmail account (just for this class).
2. If you do have a gmail account, then you already have access to a
blog account. (I will show how to access this account)
3. Do not make this a difficult task, as you will be using this through-
out the semester This is as easy as any other app on your phone or
computer.
4. By Tuesday Jan. 30th, I will need your blog address.
5. By Thursday Feb 1st, your full blog assignment will be due.

Blog Assignment #1: Due Thursday February 1st
Create a blog entry which will include
1. A name: either your name or a name that you will use as an art blogger
2. An explanation as to what the blog will consist of (Art Appreciation based)
3. A short bio of your artistic likes and dislikes
4. No less than four examples of visual art that you like, dislike, respect, live by etc.
which connects to your short art bio

3. It may be best to start the
Blog process if you already
have a gmail account, so that
you can sign into blogger.com

4. Once signed in, you will
access the Admin page. On
this page you can create a
profile, but it may be best to
go straight to Blogger.

5. On this admin page you can
create your new blog page by
hitting “New Blog”

6. New Blog will take you
to this page where you
will create a title.

7. Then create an address.
(This is what I will need
from you Tuesday Jan. 30)

8. Once Blogger accepts
your blog address,
choose a template, and
create the blog

9. Once the blog has been
created, you will create a post
for your blog, by pushing the
orange pencil icon.

10. There is a difference between a
New BLOG, and a New POST
A POST exists inside a BLOG.
If you create a new BLOG, then you will need a new address for each
blog you create.
Each time you create a new POST, that post can be seen amongst all
other posts inside your BLOG.

11. This will take you to the Post page

12. This page is similar to google
docs. You can type, create a
link, upload pics or videos
etc.

13. Once you have worked on
your blog, you have the
power to preview, save,
publish or close the window.
