Agronomy Date- 23/11/2021 ABSTRACT Indian mustard (Brassica juncea L.) belonging to the family Cruciferae is one of the oilseed crop with a major source of high quality of edible oil (37-49%). Mustard is the 3rd important oilseed crop in the world after soybean (Glycine max L.) and Groundnut oil. The application of integrated nutrient management (INM) modules significantly improved growth, yield attributes and quality parameters of mustard. Chandan reported that the highest seed yield (1.78 t/ha), stover yield (6.1 t/ha), oil content (40.9%), oil yield (729.5 kg/ha), protein content in seed (14.6%), protein content in stover (3.38%) and protein yield of seed (260.6 kg/ha) by the application of 75% RDF+ 40 kg/ha S+ 5 t/ha Vermi-compost+Azotobacter+PSB (Chandan et al., 2019) Diwakar reported that the highest seed yield (22.08q/ha), stover yield (51.43q/ha), H.I (30.87%), Gross return (Rs.92835), Net return (Rs.52309) and B:C ratio 1.29 by the application of 75% NPK+N-25%(FYM)+S @40kg+mulching @5 t/ha (Diwakar et al.,2021). Thus, it can be concluded that the application of chemical fertilizer in combination with organic manures and mulching was the most suitable INM module/practice for the Mustard crop.
