Each goal is important in itself and they are all connected
Integrating M&E systems (national indicator frameworks) with the SDG indicator framework will
enable RM to meet the global reporting requirements while focusing on implementing, monitoring
and analytical reporting on their national policy priorities
Avoiding parallel reporting processes
Stakeholder engagement (accountability, transparency and participation)
Integration of environmental indicators into sectoral policies (horizontal measure)
Advancing technical infrastructure and database management
 Synergy between national (Government) and international (development partners) efforts:
Integrated Assessment, Institutional Coordination mechanisms, Bottleneck Assessment and
Acceleration Tool
