Engagement Background
 Customer: A leading bank in the Caribbean
 The Bank is using FLEXCUBE Core Banking System with IBM P6, DB Oracle 10g for their Banking Business
Operations.
 The Bank planned to migrate the Hardware, DB and the CBS software from the existing one to the newer
supportive version with the “AS IS” functionality.
 IBM P6 to IBM P8
 Oracle DB 10g to 12g
 CBS FCv7.1 to FCv12.3
 There were 14 interface applications along with CBS that needed consideration during the Migration.
 The Bank team needed the Test Process and Test suite build & Execution support for the CBS and
interfaces.
 The Bank wished to review the Test suite and participate in the Test execution under the guidance of the
Oaksys SMEs for User Acceptance Testing of FLEXCUBE CBS and interfaces.
 Timeline: Aug 2019 to May 2020.
 Engagement Type: Off-Shore delivery.
 Status: Completed.

Value Adds and Additional Support
$ Test cases prepared for the Parameter validation as well, although the scope
was limited to functional product testing.
$ Although this was a contract with agreed number of deliverables, additional
test cases prepared beyond the numbers were not charged to the Bank as a
good will.
$ Remote delivery will be a challenge unless the understanding and expertise to
convert the requirements exists. This was provided right through the project.
$ Test Process and internal Oaksys Quality checks ensured minimal slippage.
$ During the execution support timeline, Oaksys SME’s Prepared the Business
requirement document for future set of Modules – No additional cost.
