Projects undertaken till date include:
1. Project Name: Customer Gateway Servicing (CGS)
From: June 2013 to Till Date
Client: Barclays Bank
Role: Functional/Automation Tester
Team Size: 45(35 offshore and remaining onsite)
Description of Project:
o The name of the project is CGS, Customer gateway servicing. This project mainly deals with
creating and maintaining Barclay’s various accounts, performing different operations like
account opening,funds transfers, account transfers etc. especially with profile editing based
on the PWR (present work requests/change requests) from the business.
o Presently there is agile approach that is adopted for applications/projects for clients,so my
project within CGS is Voice-Biometrics.Voice Biometrics is identifying and verifying the
customers via voice.There is a separate team structure that includes testers for system
testing,integration testing, UAT testing, developers,scrum master, business analyst and
project manager.Daily we have scrum calls to discuss the issues/plans decided as part of
each sprint.

2. o Prior to agile project, the approach followed was waterfall model,our team works for
MCA(multichannel applications),also called miniapps. Miniapp is a reuseable code that can
be used across various channels namely Telephony (IDTR), Branch, ROLB/online banking etc.
o So far the applications that are developed and tested are related to locating customer,
Account opening, change account features, full/partial account switching (from non Barclays
account to Barclays account), moving money (funds transfer/bill payment),
cancelling/amending the payments, mobile registration of customer, booking appointment,
stopping cheque (from non Barclays account to Barclays account if desired).
o It involves web application testing connecting various systems like ORACLE, mainframe etc.
o Execution includes comparison of actual and expected results, defects raising in case of
discrepancies, defects retest, additionally TSM (test scenarios matrix) preparation and test
scripts are also prepared for upcoming releases.The present release going on is
1511(format :year-month) regression.
o The project is very vast and widely used across various channels,so there are many teams
along with ours that work simultaneously.Hence as part of testing we help other teams as
well in terms of data preparation etc.
Key Responsibilities:
o Recently have worked from UK for this project for duration of 8 months , my responsibilities
were Onsite co-ordinator for multiple releases that I was part of.
Responsibilities as onsite co-ordinator :-
1. Have interactions with client,TDM(technical delivery heads),various project managers of
those projects that are planned in the releases(monthly).
2. Preparing the test environment ready for execution daily , this includes multiple
deployments of components that we use for applications/projects,follow ups for the
issues that our test team/project faces like deployment failure,downtime due to
connections of systems involved like mainframe,ORACLE, test data preparation etc.
3. Contacting,doing follow ups with various teams for getting the accurate and working
test data for projects.
4. For the release to go live, we have live proving test sessions/code drops,in each code
drop we have interactions with live provers who does testing with live
users,developers,TDM.
5. After going live,another major responsibility is live issues testing and working till all the
issues are resolved/closed.This lasts for about a month after the release goes live.
Offshore responsibities are:-
o Test case Preparation(preparing scenarios in TSM( Test scenario matrix) after going through
IA( impact assessment) , then after review of scenarios ,test cases are prepared in QC under
test plan)
o Test execution includes collecting/preparing data, sanity testing initially and defects logging
in QC.
o Test data to be fetched from Mainframe/Oracle database. So running the SQL queries to
fetch the correct information.
o It is agile testing, so follow up with developers/analysts often needs to be done.
o Maintaining scripts for regression.
o Presenting/preparing PPTs and videos for client highlighting our work from time to time.

3. o Helping other teams that use our project as base, using automation(QTP) for running the
scripts for data setup.
2. Project Name: E-Post production stability application
From: December 2012 to May 2013
Client: RBS Citizens
Role: Functional/performance Tester
Team Size: 15(9 offshore and remaining onsite)
Description of Project
o The objective of the project is to improve the performance and test an internally
developed web based payment system designed to provide the users an ability to
process transactions electronically.
o E-post stands for “Electronic-posting” ticket/s in transaction to Mainframe, Database
successfully .It is a web based application meant for the posting of transactions/ tickets
like IM, ST, ALS, GL and CAT.
o The testing is required to increase the speed and reduce time while inputting, searching
records, approving the transactions, validation in mainframe and finally generating
reports.
o 58 Internal departments are using this system.
o The project had both Manual and Performance testing involved.
o Testing was completed and project went live successfully on time.
o There are Middleware, staff ware, mainframe, security, search controls, web based
applications and Database system involved in this.
Key Responsibilities:
o Test case Preparation( preparing RTM, test cases)
o Also if BRD (Business Requirements document) changes happen, noting down the changes
and making the required changes in the QCTC (Quality center test cases), QCRM (Quality
center Requirement matrix) and RTM (Requirement traceability matrix).
o Preparing the daily status/reports and sending to the onsite (every week thrice onsite calls
too place).
o While execution, validation in Mainframe required.
o Maintaining scripts for regression for other banks.
3. Project Name: Commercial Lending Program
From: June 2011 to December 2012
Client: RBS Citizens
Role: Functional/Automation Tester
Team Size: 45(25 offshore and remaining onsite)
Description of Project
o The objective of the project is to implement a fully integrated lending platform that will
provide straight through processing and new/enhanced functionality to eliminate
redundancies, increase product offerings and reduce overall costs and time spent in the
process.

4. o Automated Financial System (AFS) is a commercial lending suite which replaces “SHAW”,
the current Mainframe based Commercial lending system.
o It is a system that stores and processes the billing details related to AFS product.
o The project has both Manual and Automation testing involved.
o Over 2000 Test cases had been automated as per the requirement.
o There were 12 Workflows and 25 interfaces which interact with AFS application.
o It was divided into two phases-phase 1(post approval) and phase 2(loan origination).
o The project went live successfully
Key Responsibilities:
o Test case Preparation( preparing RTM (Requirement traceability matrix), test cases)
o Also if BRD(Business Requirements document) changes happen , noting down the changes
and making the required changes in the QCTC (Quality center test cases), QCRM (Quality

professional –automation tool).
