4. ICICI BANK FINACLE MIGRATION

Description
ICICI bank is on currently operational on 7x version of Finacle. The bank decided to migrate to 10x
version from the existing 7x. In 7x version of Finacle, CIF creation/modification is an integrated part of
CORE but in 10x version it has been introduced a separate module known as CRM (Customer
Relationship Management).
Implementation of 10x in ICICI includes migration of data from Finacle version 7x to 10x. Apart from the
implementation process, various new customizations were also done.
Roles and Responsibilities
 Heading CRM implementation
 Managing team of 5 people for customization and migration.
 Responsible for analysing the feasibility of client requirements.
 CRM related Customization
 Customizing Finacle CRM product according to the Bank’s requirement.
 Front end validations and field level changes.
 Creation of new screens for capturing more details.
 Modification of existing functionality of product as per customer’s requirement
 Migration of CRM from 7x to 10x
The prime challenge in the version migration was to implement CRM as an independent module,
where earlier it was an integrated one.
 Functional queries of client
Apart from handling the technical issues and gaps raised by the bank, was also active in
resolving the functional queries. This primarily comprised of analysing and proving a feasible
approach in the minimum possible time.
 Was part of the Housing Finance Corporation (HFC) instance of ICICI which has gone live
on Finacle 10.2.0 version.
 Was part of Dubai instance which has gone live on Finacle 10.2.12 version on 20th of April
2014 with negligible minor issues and no major issue.

Description
Indusind Bank decided to move to Finacle from their existing legacy system. The challenge was to find
compatibility of data from the legacy system to Finacle. The overall implementation was successful with
CRM being the module with least number of issues.

 Requirement Gathering for CRM product of Finacle
I was in the Requirement Gathering phase of IndusInd bank and provided functional and technical
feasibility of customer’s requirements.
 MRD documents preparation
Prepared Master Requirement Design document for Bank for the requirements given in CRM.
(MRD is the document which has the list of all the customizations or product changes which are
given by Customer to client, it also includes the possible solution and approach of customization
or product change)
 Implementation of Finacle CRM
Implementation of Finacle CRM at client’s location was handled by me which included the
customizations issues product bugs, migration bugs and environmental issues related to CRM
 Handled everything single handily for CRM
As I was the only point of contact for CRM at client’s site. I handled all the issues. This includes
Change Requests (CRs) given by bank at the time of implementation, deployment of product
patches, testing of product patches on client’s environment.
 Successful go-live happened on 10th of Dec2012 with minimal number of issues
The Indusind Bank went live on 10th of December 2012 without any major issues. Got
appreciation from client for smooth delivery of CRM product.
