2. I went on a website called
Dafont.com where I
downloaded this font.
I was happy with this font
as it related to the genre
that I chose.
3. I decided to name my
magazine ‘Turntablez’
because it related to the
genre as this is one type
of equipment they used.
For example, this
equipment is used
majorly at clubs and at
parties.
4. The Programmes that I used was InDesign and Photoshop.
Photoshop was used to manipulate and make photos clearer.
InDesign was used for making the magazine. This included columns
made, images put in for the front cover, contents and double page
spreads and text.
When I wrote up my
coverlines, masthead and the article
on my double page spread, I used
this.
This is my main coverline
which was the used for the
double page spread.
5. When choosing the colours for
text on the cover page, I decided
to go with red, black and orange.
From the research I found, they
did this and I thought it was really
interesting and imaginative.
The tools I used was making
swatches and strokes, to make
the outline of the text stand out
and also more defined.
6. These were put down on my
magazine cover and I think it
really works as they are to do
with the genre of music I have
chosen and also may interest
my target audience.
7. The main coverline was a definite. I decided to do this one
because music is about new artists going into that industry. I
also made it an interview so that you were able to hear 1st hand a
person who was going into that industry and how it really is and
how it works.
The other coverlines that I decided on I thought was also
interesting and can relate to my target audience and they also
sound interesting.
8. I think that this image that I
have chosen is alright as it
shows the equipment that is
used when making Dubstep
music.
I’m very happy with this
image and hopefully it
conveys the message to my
target audience.
9. I thought this image worked as it conveys the message of the
genre and also a another piece of equipment is shown that this
genre acquires, which are the computers.
Although the model in the image is not looking at the camera, she
is still important to it as it shows her working on it and illustrating
the idea of Dubstep.
10. The past few weeks I have made
my Front cover which is shown
on the left.
I’m happy with the end product
because I think that it conveys
the genre I picked and I also like
the coverlines that go along with
it and hopefully puts my
message across to my audience.
