Questions of Intent: Contents Page
2. From the mock up of my contents page, I’ll be
using two columns, my images on the right and
the page numbers and text on the left.
I’ve decided to set it out this way so that it is not
too complicated and is easy to understand what
articles are in the magazine and also what page
they are on.
3. I’ve put my contents page into
two columns and in each box I
have stated what would be
included in them and what it will
include.
I have images that can be used
for my cover page, just like the
images on the right, however
my images will be on the left.
This is what I have learnt from
my research and other elements
too.
Two columns used on
this contents page
4. The stories that I have put on my contents page relates to the images and the images that I used for my
contents page relate to my coverlines, and I put the page number by the image which makes it clear to
reader what page that article is on. (Take print screen of picture from contents page with the page number
on it, use arrows and analyse it)
From the research
that I came
across, all the
magazines that I
saw had page
numbers on the
image that
corresponds to the
coverline so it is
made clear to the
audience.
5. I’ll be using the same colour scheme as the front cover
because I would like it to be consistent. I like the colour
scheme.
From research of contents magazines, all of them had features, which are the coverlines
that are on the magazine, other than the main coverline which is the cover story. My main
cover story is an interview on a new rap artist called “Fastrack”. The reason I chose to do
an interview is that I was able to ask the interviewee questions that intrigue me about the
music industry and what it is really like behind the scenes of the industry.
The reason I choose to do this this way is so that the reader wouldn’t get confused
and knows where the certain article they want to read is and what page to go on to.
I used a close up for all my images. It relates to the audience easier and forms a
personal bond between the images and the reader (target audience). I think it will
relate to them because the images relate to the type of genre I’m doing.
