• Slang in general may be cases of phonetic distortion:
E.g:
- cuppa: a hot drink, cup of tea, cup of coffee
-> Not my cuppa tea (Idiom): If something is not your cup of tea, it is not
the type of thing of that you like
E.g: I’ve tried listening to Evanescence but I need to say that their music is not
my cup of tea
- ma’am: shortening of "madam." Used to formally and respectfully
refer to a female.

• “know-how” - knowledge
