2. BRIEF SYNOPSIS
• - Normal guy/ girls life, perhaps see's their average days life e.g. work, family
• - As film progresses, sees that character is being stalked (only shown to audience)
• - Character begins to notice things, perhaps becomes paranoid - starts to try and change routine
• - Made obvious to audience that stalker is going to get him, perhaps scenes where stalker looks at character from
outside in.
• - idea that 'protagonist' is not actually a good guy, perhaps done something wrong to stalker character, or in general
to make him a target.
• - (alternative idea) character is the last of a group that has been slowly taken out for doing some bad deed.
• - throughout film various characters are taken out and tortured by a mysterious figure that they have perhaps done
wrong, or is angry (wants to take revenge) on these people.
• - idea of routine being noted by mysterious character
• - Teenager goes missing after being bullied, Group responsible for bullying one by one go missing too. All deaths
take place in a school area/ in a classroom perhaps after dark. The teenager that goes missing then is shown to be
the one killing them all.
• - The film may end with the last character escaping, and then 3 years later, the character has a new home and life.
But then the mysterious killing teenager appears again to be taking notes down of the characters routine, and finally
kills the person. The teenager then disappears again (perhaps to go on killing more bullies).
3. UNIQUE SELLING POINT
• Our unique selling point for this film is the fact that it is a horror, based around
teenagers, especially into their routine lives and issues. The storyline differs from the
typical horror in which older characters get murdered for no apparent reason (or for
fun), whereas we are taking an approach in which vengeance and horror intermix. This
also creates a particular group that will be interested in the film (such as teenagers), as
well as movie fanatics that enjoy a good plot twist.
• The fact that teenagers are the star role in the film, as well as them being in
education, also creates a basis in which anyone that is in education, or has recently come
out of education may be able to relate to the film thus want to see it.
4. TARGET AUDIENCE
• Our main target audience would be teenagers, especially those in education. The film
may speak to an equal proportion of male and females. The film is generally based
around bullying and its deadly costs, this applies to most cultures as every one will have a
bullying issue in their schools, whether it is tackled or not.
Vacancy is a similar film to
the strangers which we
vaguely based our film
about, this data to the right
shows what sort of people
may watch our film. The two
key pieces of data are that
roughly 74% would be 15-

would watch equal
amounts.

6. MARKETING CAMPAIGN IDEAS
• It is most likely our film will be advertised over the internet and online websites such as
facebook, youtube, twitter and blogs.
• Our film may appear in some magazines aimed at teenagers such as kerrang. This would
be great advertising as many of our target audience would read those sort of magazines.
• Our target audience would most likely be online rather than watch t.v. although the older
individuals (19-24) would, so we may have some adverts showing our film’s teaser on
channels such as ‘Dave’ and ‘E4’.
• Our key marketing strategy would be positive word-of-mouth from social network sites
such as facebook and twitter. This would create an enigma around the film, making the
target audience want to watch it more.
• Our release date will be during anti-bullying week (19-23 November). This creates a viral
effect on the film, as those for anti-bullying will want to watch the film in aid of the cause.
This is our key unique selling point.

8. ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS
• Our favourite aspect of a horror is suspense
• We prefer a thriller film
• We prefer relatable aspects in the film. However this is obviously going to be difficult what with the genre
being horror!
• The title is ok, however it needs to be clearly shown in the plot on how the film relates to the title.
• Not really, sounds quite depressing.
Other…
Your film is called Bullies and you are bringing it out in ANTI-bulling week yet the film is based around horrible
murderers?... Perhaps there needs to be a more positive/happy ending rather than a negative one.
Also you need to rethink you USP (You’ve put a good one on the end of you marketing campaign – anti-bulling
week)
However…
We think that your marketing campaign ideas are very well thought out and will be effective!
