Main areas of responsibility are controlling the preventive, corrective, troubleshooting, shutdown,
major and minor maintenance activities, on various types of instrumentations and control systems,
which are used for managing processes in plant including:
 All maintenance & troubleshooting for distributed control system (DCS Yokogawa).
 Adding new units including (modules-points-logic-graphics) for DCS.
 Safety operating and Shutdown Equipment such as Control Valves and Field measuring device
(Sensor, Transmitters, Transducers, Gauges, Indicators, Recorders) of Pressure, Flow, Level,
Vibration and Temperature.
 Planning and developing Equipment's Spare Parts Preparation
 Failure analysis and coordination with other functions
 Review P&ID, loop and logic drawing to recommend and implement improvements and
modifications.
 Study contract of main control system in plant (DCS), SAS and communication system for 220
Kv switchyard.
 Review all submittals from the contractors and the sub-contractors to compare with contract.
 Monitor daily installation progress and check all activities at site according to engineering
drawings.
 Check all received materials at site to ensure their correct manufacture, model, functions and
type according to contract.
 ALL field instruments (thermocouples, transmitters and pneumatic actuators) Calibration,
Installations, commissioning and loop check with control system.
 Function test and commissioning of logic
 Carry out SAT activities of Yokogawa DCS
 Review control system network connections and function.
 Review the soft link interface between main control system DCS and other control systems
such as OPC and MODBUS.

2.  Diagnoses complex faults, analysis malfunctions and breakdowns and recommend necessary
modification to avoid recurrence of complex faults
TRAINING:
1. English course for non-specialists “Advanced level” in MDEPC in Egypt
2. HRSG maintenance (Design, I&C, Pressure parts, Valves and actuators, MCC, Main
components) in Ansaldo Caladie Company in Italy
3. Concerning operation, Configuration and Maintenance of pressure transmitters 266 series,
temperature transmitters TTF300 and Hand held terminal DHH805 in ABB in Italy.
4. Speedtronic Mark VIe control maintenance for GE gas turbine in Banha power plant in Egypt.
5. Maintenance of 245 KV GIS in Banha power plant in Egypt.
6. Substation Automation System SICAM PAS (Siemens) in Banha Power Plant
7. ABB – Harmony Base – Composer Configuration: in Banha Power Plant
8. Yokogawa DCS: Centum VP maintenance in Yokogawa Middle East & Africa in Bahrain
