GORNA ORYAHOVITSA
• Our hometown is located
in Northern Bulgaria. Here
there is a train station
which is the second
biggest in our country. The
hill Kamaka (or The Rock)
is interesting for tourists.
According to the old
citizens, the height of the
stone was formed through
centuries. Many years ago
it was a big harbour but
now it’s the top of our
town.

VELIKO TARNOVO
• Close to our town (7km) is the
historical capital of Bulgaria - Veliko
Tarnovo. The city is one of the most
preferred tourist destinations
because of its attractions. Its
location is different because it’s
located on three hills – Tsarevets,
Trapezitsa and Sveta gora (Great
forest).

• The capital of our country is Sofia. The city is

of Bulgaria. The earliest data about the settlement of the
ancient city centre date from the Bronze Ages ( second
millenium before Christ). Information about the region
of today’s Sofia appears in ancient Greek sources after
the middle of the 5th century before Christ, at that time
this part of the Balkan Peninsula is populated with
Thracians.

Dolphinarium. Other popular
attraction in the district are
the Fossil stones (Pobitite
stones). The natural
phenomenon without an
analogue in the world is one of
the three geological places in
Bulgaria with acknowledged
