1. This was the first image I took on my photo shoot

2. I wanted to add some make up, I was thinking of adding eye makeup

5. Zoomed into the eye and I started using the burn tool, however it never worked because I had it set to shadows instead of midtones

6. I set the burn tool to mid tones and had the brush at a small pixel

8. I changed the colour of the shirt by selecting the black vest top with the magic wand tool

9. Changed the Hue/saturation to purple

10. Cut the whole image from the background and then I needed to erase some parts of the background that had picked up with the ‘magic wand’ tool

11. I started erasing part of the green screen that had picked up

12. Also erased the green behind the flat plimsolls

13. I used a brush I had downloaded (link will up on blog) and then the swirly lines were too plain and it never showed the sense and vibe I wanted the magazine to emit and give to my target audience; 13-18’s, a dance sense and I wanted it to be vibrant

14. I went to the blending options and I added a outer glow with the same gradient as I used for the large mastheads, to carry on the house style and themes that run throughout the magazine.

15. I then added a colour overlay to the actual lines, to add more vibrancy to the image

17. Erased a part of the background that wasn’t meant to be there; I only realised after I had added the lines

18. This was the final image, I never wanted to over manipulate and add effects that would make the outcome and expression of the image look appalling and out of place. I was overwhelmed with happiness when I finished I saw the image properly and it looked really professional and groovy the way the lines glow.
