6. Pseudechiniscus
We believe we may have found a
tardigrade of the species
Pseudechiniscus, according to Dr.
Miller (“Tardigrade Expert”).
There is only one species of
Pseudechiniscus recorded in
California.

11. Notes from
Dr. Miller
- The group should invest in a dissection
microscope (that can go to 400x) to find and
look at tardigrades better (compound
microscope makes it harder to find them).
- Dr. Miller sent some supplies (to look at
tardigrades) to Christina for the group.
- Dr. Miller is contacting Jasmin to see if she can
come down to see us and help mentor us (for
looking at and finding tardigrades).

14. Who is doing what for the plate scanner
Christina - oversees the process of it (making sure everything is on track and everyone is
on task to complete the plate scanner), helps out with building the plate scanner
Mark - works on building plate scanner
Jake - works on the code for the plate scanner, helps out with 3-D printing parts
Drew - focuses on 3-D printing parts, helps out with anything extra needed
Remy - works on building plate scanner

15. How we feel about this week…
Christina - 9 (good work, we got the things that needed to be done,
done. However, it would be better if the supplies ordered for the plate
scanner came in earlier)
Remy - 9 (We were able to get a lot of the planning and ordering
done so that we can assemble it friday and through next week)
Mark - 9 (We were able to do lots of planning and design work)
Jake - 9 (I am excited for the parts to come! Hopefully we can get
everything done soon)
Drew - 9 (We got a lot of work done, I wish that all of the supplies
that we ordered came earlier)
