called pictural filmstrips
• probably the first filmstrips produced in a complete
set.
• Those melted with intense and sustained heat of
projection lamp.
6. • Now available filmstrips are plastic film base coated
on one side with gelatin emulsion containing
microscopically small light sensitive silver halide
crystals (silver + halogen).
7. •Traditionally available filmstrips are 35mm
wide
• Most consist of single frame pictures about ¾ *

3. Pictures on the film should be shown and
explained.
13. How to use filmstrips?
• can be projected through a film-strip projector.
• A common projector projects the image on a
screen using an optical instrument
16. Steps on film strip projector uses
1. Place the slide projector on a rigid and stable
table
2. Place the screen at an appropriate place
3. Insert the film strip carrier in its place after
opening the tube
4. Mount the film strip on its carrier
5. Connect with electricity
17. Steps on film strip projector uses

18. Advantages
Requires simple skill to operate and is
convenient aid for making classroom teaching
interesting
Smaller in size and weighs less in comparison to
slides
They can be stored and used repeatedly
19. Advantages
The images are sequenced properly and do not
loose order
It can be used in classroom basis
These are useful for skill training lessons
20. Disadvantages
The pictures are in permanent order , once
placed non can be omitted nor added.
The transfer of original material to film makes
first filmstrip fairly costly
21. Cont..
Requires darkroom and electricity
The bulb is fragile and not readily available
The apparatus can be costly
It cannot project 3 dimensional image
22. Care and storage
The filmstrips can be rolled up and placed in a
cylindrical container
Each container should be properly labeled for
plastic title of film-strip
23. CONT…
