13. COPING
If you or a friend are being bullied, take these steps to help cope:
1 Do not retaliate.
2 Print out all content containing harassment to serve as proof of bullying.
3 Unfriend and block the perpetrator so that you can no longer see the content of each
other's web page. If bullying is taking place over the phone, block the unwanted number.
4 Turn off your source of bullying. Disconnect and find a trusted friend or family member to
talk with.
5 Go to a trusted adult in your community, and ask them for help. This adult can be a
guidance counselor, instructor, coach, or anybody you feel safe with. Ask them to help you
bring the issue to school administration.
6 Bring the content to administration, and let them know how long the bullying has been
going on, and what they can do to stop it.
