In what ways does your media product use,
develop or challenge forms and conventions of
                   real media products?
• I researched various existing R&B magazines and most of the
magazines I found had dull backgrounds whereas I wanted
    vibrant colours.

• I was influenced by clash’s banner at the top of the screen,
however I challenged this convention and put mine at the
    bottom of the page.

• The Barcode on Clash magazine is on the right hand side of
the page I decided to follow the convention.

• I challenged the conventions in terms of the image as the artist
on the Clash magazine is an extreme close up whereas the
image on my magazine is a medium shot because I had to
    capture his hand sign.
How does your media product represent particular
               social groups?
• My Magazine is aimed towards 13 – 18 year olds.

• Looking at my magazine, it mostly attracts females however, I
added fashion tips and top 10 R&B music hits which would apply
    to young males

• My model was purposely chosen because he is a young teen.
    The mise-en-scene represents young teenagers.

• As a sub-heading I added a competition for fans to have a
chance to meet the artist because I know this applies to a young
    audience.
What kind of media institution might distribute your
                media product and why?
• VIBE is a well known institution who circulates approximately 800,000
    magazines a year worldwide.
• Q magazine is a monthly magazine published by Bauer Media which total
    circulation is 80,418.
• VIBE and Q would distribute my magazine as it is R&B based and follows there
    conventions.
• Bauer Media are known to distribute magazines that are a range of genres such
    as Rock, R&B and Pop.
• Gathering this my magazine would be distributed by Bauer Media.
Who would be the audience for your media
                  product?

• The Audience for my magazine is 13 - 18 year
  old males and females.

• The front cover would most likely attract
  females whereas, the contents inside
  would attract males.
How did you attract/address your audience?

• The Picture on my front page is of a teen sensation Jack
Britt, I also added a competition to meet him, This would
draw the female audience in because they would want to
  meet him.

• The male audience would be more attracted to the sub
heading were it says about the UKs top 1- R&B Music.
They would also be attracted to the banner
at the bottom of the page where its says
  about the latest fashion tips.
What have you learnt about technologies from the
         process of constructing this product?
I used a few programmes while making my magazine for various different magazines
such as; Blog Spot, Microsoft PowerPoint, Photoshop, Google and Slide share.
Before I made the music magazine I hardly knew how to use some of these
programmes or had no idea what they were but now that I’ve used them I have
gained a lot more knowledge in these programmes.

I used blog spot to I used slideshare to I used google to do my
post my music upload my powerpoint research by looking at
magazine and my presentations before existing magazines and
preliminary task. uploading them on to artists.

Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you
feel you have learnt in the progression from it to
                    the full product?
• Looking back at my prelim i feel as if my skills have
developed a lot more, I’ve learnt how to use
Photoshop a lot more, for example the various ways
of changing the background, cropping the photo etc..

• My prelim is very simple and looks life it doesn’t
have very much writing on it whereas my music
magazine looks a lot more like a real magazine.

• Because of all the research I done for my main task
and following most of the conventions it looks like a
real magazine whereas my prelim looks a bit
amateur because I didn’t follow the conventions that
  much.
