2. MY CHOSEN BRIEF.
I have decided on the brief of;
First 4 pages of a Regional Magazine
two of the following; a radio advertisement, 2 hyperlinked pages from a website and a
billboard advertisement
I chose this brief out of the 3 because based on my skill set and past experience with creating
magazines I thought I would find this easier and less time consuming then the others. I
decided on the 2 hyperlinked website pages and a billboard advertisement. I also chose these
because I have experience with making website pages, therefore I could use my past
experience to help me now, the billboard however I chose because I feel like it will be less time
consuming than the radio advertisement and I am also more confident with the billboard.
3. INITIAL IDEA.
I have decided to create a regional fashion magazine, with a front cover, contents page
and a double page spread.
The magazine will be created to suite the people in the age 16+.
The advantages of me making a fashion magazine are that I myself am interested in
fashion therefore I will find it easier to create a magazine in that genre.
I will be making a billboard to promote the magazine, so the model will appear on both
products, the website will also be a digital version of the magazine and a place readers
can go for more information.
4. SUMMER BREAK INFLUENCE.
Over the summer whilst thinking about my initial idea I decided to change it
from alternative fashion to just high street everyday fashion, based on the
region of the north east.
Over the summer I also completed some blog post and uploaded them to my
blog therefore my research continued from stepping up weeks into my
holidays. The blog posts I did included my action plan and inspirational
texts.

6. INSTITUTES AND TARGET
AUDIENCE.
After looking at institutes I have looked at my AS coursework institutional research.
CONDÉ NAST is the institute which owns vogue therefore this is an option however has mine is a
regional magazine I have looked into other magazine institutes.
After looking for institutes I am still undecided as to which institute I would like to represent my
magazine, however I could make my own institute up .
