• Request quotations from clearing and forwarding agents mentioning the date of shipment, point of origin
and destination, and special requirements or specifications for containers (e.g. size of container, reefer
container, non-reefer or ordinary pick-up trucks only)
• Prepares PFI (Pro-forma Invoice) for customers after quotation was received and request for managers
approval to send to customer mentioning the agreed payment and delivery terms.
• Prepares Sales Order and circulate it to the Production Department to inform them of the new order
entered into the system.
• Book shipment flight or sailing date once the order is ready for dispatch.
• Request warehouse people to check the container’s temperature if it meets the requirement of the
goods to be shipped, check container number, container name if it matches to the Draft BL (Bill of
Lading) sent by the clearing agent and make sure there are no discrepancies to finalize it for clearing
the consignment.
• Ensure the maximum utilization of container space available by liaising with Warehouse keeper.
• Prepares and forwards correctly completed documentation to customers and clearing agents to ensure
prompt clearance and delivery of consignment.
• Attend weekly Production Planning meeting to ensure customers order are being produced as per the
requirement and will be delivered on time.
