3. LANGUAGE
• The colour palette is neutral and minimal – which
draws the reader's attention to the stars on the
cover.
• Harper's Bazaar assumes a certain degree
of knowledge about the celebrities as they refer to
them as 'Kris and Kylie' - no last names, so the
audience are expected to know who they are.
• Kylie is dressed in a brightly-saturated outfit, which
could suggest she is the most important on the
cover - she is also the world's youngest 'self-made'
billionaire, which shows and celebrates female
empowerment.
• Kylie's outfit, not only matches the colour of Kris's
glasses but the title of the magazine – which is
something I wish to emulate.

6. REPRESENTATION
• Here,Harpar's Bazaar are promoting feminisim by
presenting the achievement of Kylie Jenner becoming
the first youngest 'self - made' billionaire.
• They are also promoting feminism through the use
of Kris and Kylie being in suits, which is not
commonly seen on a magazine front cover.
• This connotes a tone of seriousness, business and
leadership – which are breaking sterotypes that are
usually attatched to women.
