1. Q4+Q5. Who would be
the audience for your
media product? How
did you
attract/address your
audience?
2. Who would be the
audience for your media
product?
I wanted my magazine to attract the
attention of many different people but in
general the ‘18-24’ age group, male or
female. I wanted it to draw attention to
the people who enjoy dream pop, who
have a unique, vintage style. Its aimed
at people who enjoy listening to artists
such as Lana Del Rey, Adele, Paloma
Faith, etc. Who have a vintage look to
them, like the X-factor finalist Chloe
Jasmine. I’d like my magazine to attract
as many viewers as possible but is
particularly aimed at a typical,
traditional, classical kind of person.
Judging by the figures of the magazine
I used for inspiration I can see that
mine will mainly attract female viewers.
3. When I was taking my photographs
there was lots of things I had to
consider. I had to remember that the
photos are going to attract the
audience so they have to be attractive
as well as fitting in with my theme.
I have presented my models in a very
traditional way. They aren’t showing
much skin which is unusual in this day
and age. To help my subjects fit in
with the ‘dream pop, vintage theme’ I
got them to pose, dress and act in a
certain way. I also used props such as
a hat, scarf and pair of normal and
sunglasses.
They aren’t coming across to the
audience as sexual, they look
sophisticated.
I think they fit in well and are still
attractive for customers to look at. I
