and continuous attention to quality in terms of

Higher Education Institutes, Quality Assurance
Unit (QAU) was established in University
Grants Commission
QAU formed Institutional Quality Assurance
Cells (IQACs) at each Public and Private
University across Bangladesh for this purpose
These cells are working under the guidelines of
QAU
A significant improvement in higher education
system is observed after the establishment of
these cells

The quality of academic departments of the
University is checked through Self-Assessment
Report (SAR) that is prepared by PSAC using Self-
Assessment Manual (SAM) and survey data
provided by HEQEP
Following steps are involved in self-assessment
process
IQAC forms the Program SAC that will be
responsible for preparing Self-Assessment Report
(SAR)
SAR must contain, mission, objectives, course
outline, facilities available about faculty and
expected outcomes of the program
SAC conducts Surveys for Outcomes / Feedback

SAC reviews / ensure the documentation.
IQAC give the appointment of EPRT in
consultation of SAC and by the approval of the
Honorable Vice-chancellor following the
guideline of QAU
EPRT conducts their review visit at the
University Campus and presents the external
validation report for preparing the future
improving plan.
IQAC submit the EVR with IP to the Honorable
Vice-chancellor for approval by the Syndicate.
IQAC send Improvement Plan to the Deans of
all Faculties for implementation
