This document contains a lesson plan submitted by a student teacher for a 3rd grade English class. The plan is for the third week and focuses on the story "Froggy gets dressed". It includes 5 learning objectives, targeted language functions and structures, and a detailed outline of 3 synchronous Zoom activities - a warm-up guessing game about the weather, an interactive reading of the story where students dress a Froggy puppet, and a song activity. Homework assignments are also provided to reinforce the lesson. An evaluation of the plan rates it as excellent overall.

Procedures
ROUTINE (5 minutes)
I will greet the students and will ask them “how are you today?” as they join the zoom
meeting. I will ask them if they liked the story the read and congratulate them from the
audio files sent to the whatsapp group.
WARM- UP (10 minutes)
As a warm-up game, will play a guessing game. I adapted a game they have in the book
page 32 from the student’s book to fit the context I created. I will share this image:
5. Then, I will explain they have to identify the day of the week I’m referring to:
For example:
It’s cold. Froggy is wearing a warm coat. What day is it? It’s Tuesday
(I will have to review the days of the week before we start this game)
Transition: “Ok! Great! Now, we are going to continue with Froggy’s story.”
DEVELOPMENT
Activity 1 (15 minutes)
I will read Froggy’s story once again, but this time, they will have to have their stick
puppets to dress and undressed Froggy following the storyline i.e. as I read the story
they put on or take off Froggy’s clothes accordingly. (Although this activity might be a
bit messy and difficult to monitor, I’m confident they will be able to accomplish it
without a problem at this stage.)
Transition: “Good job! “Now, I want you to meet Frogilina!”
Activity 2 (10 minutes)
I will tell the kids: “This is Frogilina. She’s Froggy’s best friend.”
6. “And this is her mother”
Now, I want you to play a game with the cards you have on page 101 from the student’s
book.
7. “First, I want you put the pictures in two different piles: the green and the blue ones”
“Now, you’re going to work in pairs. One will play the part of Frogilina (with the blue
cards) and the other the part of Frogilina’s mother (with the green part).” I will hold a
pair of matching cards and I will provide an example on how to do this activity:
Frogilina: “It’s hot, mom”. Frogilina’s mom: “Put on bathing suit, Frogilina”
“Then, you swap roles.” They will do this activity through breakout rooms.
Transition: “Great! Well done! Now, are you in the mood for a song? Of course, you are!”
Activity 3 (10 minutes)
I will tell student’s that we are going to listen to Froggy’s favorite song! The I will share
the following video.

haring
(The song starts in minute 0:41)
It’s difficult to make them sing in the zoom sessions. In previous opportunities that we
have tried, the experience was disappointing for everyone. Now, I use the book’s songs
to enhance listening comprehension skills.
Then, I will play the song again and I will ask them to put the song’s lines in the correct
order. We check and then I willmake them stickthe lyrics on their notebooks. After that,
they will continue with the second song activity. They have to listen and complete with
the correct missing words. (see copy)
8. Transition: “Good! Do you like this song? I’ll send the video so that you can listen to it as many times
as you want.”
CLOSURE
For closure, I will remind them I will be sending some homework via Whatsapp. Then,
we’ll greet each other goodbye and wish each other a nice weekend =)
I will assign another song activity on page 25 from their workbook.
