POSITION AND PERSONAL OBJECTIVE
Currently, a Senior Project Manager with C.W. Driver, Mr. Byers oversaw the construction and successful completion of the $126M Irvine
Unified School District’s Portola High School and currently oversees the $69M Temecula’s Europa Village (Three Wineries, Hotel and Spa).
Mr. Byers brings to his projects 35 years of construction experience with a strong emphasis on preconstruction services and collaborative
efforts. With his ultimate goal of “Total Project Success” for all stakeholders, Mr. Byers develops relationships early with all stakeholders
determining their requirements for success, then strategizing means and methods to help all to achieve that success. He relies on an

CAREER SUMMARY
With a desire to become an architect from an early age, Mr. Byers was accepted to Arizona State University School of Architecture.
Realizing this endeavor was a little bigger than his abilities, he switched his major to Civil Engineering. Then again, after coming to the same
realization he switched his major to Construction Management, where many end up for the same reason. He graduated in 1982 from Arizona
State University with a BS Construction Management. In the last 35 years of successful hands-on construction management experience he
has work 30-feet below sea level to 500 feet above ground, Class 10 clean rooms to educational classrooms, project sizes from $100K to
$140M, private, public, educational, hard bid, CM, multiple prime contracting and lease/lease-back, all providing excellence from
preconstruction services through punch list and commissioning.

• Saved Owners millions of dollars through value engineering and proposing financial and phasing options for projects.
• Decreased project schedules by formulating scheduling strategies and “Fast Track” approaches.

The Senior Project Manager has total responsibility for the project’s success; from its earliest conception through turnover to the
owner, the main point of contact for the Owner and the Contractor. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
• Manage, coordinate and oversee all facets of preconstruction and construction services for multiple projects including plan, organize,
direct and report project management activities including updates and progress reports to upper management. Responsible for all
aspects of contract compliance.
• Point of contact for Owner and Architect providing progress, schedule, budget updates on a regular basis.
• Advise, consult and recommend action on all potentially critical issues vital to the Owner or Architect.
• Preconstruction Services include, recommending bidding strategies, constructability reviews, budgeting and estimates, development of
bid coverage strategies, scopes of work, bid documents and project schedule, execute bid process, bid evaluation and recommendation
for awards.
• Construction Services include performance and or monitoring of day to day contract administration, safety compliance. Manage, assist,
train, mentor and coordinate construction teams.
• Assure compliance to company policy with respect to safety, reporting, and documentation.
