Construction Project Manager, Superintendent
• Served on contract as Project Manager and on site Superintendent while living in Austin completing the Phase
One Improvements, Addition and Remodeling Project for the City of Austin Aviation Department at the Austin
Bergstrum International Airport. This was approximately a $750,000 project involving a 10,000 s.f. addition to the
terminal with assorted remodeling throughout the terminal and the adjacent parking garage. Managed, scheduled
and directly supervised this complex project. Involved working directly in the SIDA high security apron level near the
commercial aircraft, and within the “sterile” FAA high security passenger concourse. It was my direct responsibility
to coordinate all aspects of this project with all construction, operations, security and design team participants.
Complete Construction Management LLC, San Antonio, TX 1999 to 2002
President, Project Manager and Estimator
• Served as President of an affiliate of MAGI Group performing construction management for commercial projects,
and preparing bids on projects acting as general contractor. Duties included Project Cost Estimating using R.S.
Means Cost Data in addition to WinEstimator Software. Acted as Project Manager and Estimator for Project
Scheduling and assembling construction team of site superintendent, in-house workers and subcontractors. Projects
included both private sector construction projects and competitively bid public projects. Duties also included
preparation of Request for Proposals and Request For Qualifications Responses.
• Performed construction management and co-developer support duties of a 22 million dollar Design/Build HUD
Hope VI project for five subdivisions, with 270 single-family residences, for the San Antonio Housing Authority
(SAHA). The contractor hired for this affordable housing project was national home-builder Kaufman & Broad
Homes. Duties included development of four subdivisions coordinating design and approval with Civil Engineer, City
of San Antonio Staff, City Council, and municipal utility entities. Negotiated an exemption of fees and permits with
City of San Antonio on behalf of SAHA resulting in a saving of almost 2 million dollars to client.
• Software used included Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint), Microsoft Project, Primavera SureTrack,
AutoCad 2000i/ADT3 and WinEst Pro V.5.0 unit cost estimating software. Member Design Build Institute of America
(DBIA).
WestEast Design Group, San Antonio, TX 1998 to 1999
Principal Architect
• Principal Architect for Architectural Company. Duties included marketing for firm, preparing working drawings and
specifications for construction documents. Prepared working drawings using AutoCad, and Specifications using
BSD Speclink Software. Was involved with project programming, design, client presentations, 3D
Modeling/rendering and meeting construction budgets in preparation of final construction documents.
Primary client was the SAHA. While there personally performed on site assessments of approximately 650 Elderly
Apartments for SAHA. This was in preparation of the renovation of over half a dozen elderly apartment complexes
throughout San Antonio.

• Production of Construction Documents for Residential and Commercial projects. Performed Construction
Management and Site Administration of commercial projects for this Design /Build Company. Also acted as Project
Manager for construction projects for both residential and commercial projects. Clients included Sonic Restaurants.

Division Manager, Construction Inspector
• Set up and ran new San Antonio division office for a structural and geotechnical firm based in Austin. My duties
included: marketing, public relations and advertising; negotiation of contracts for professional services; management
and administration of local office; client maintenance; visual geotechnical site investigations; commercial and
residential foundation inspections for conventional and post tension foundation designs; coordination of design
documents. I gained experience with Structural Foundation Design, and the relationship of Geotechnical
Engineering and Soils Analysis to earth supported foundations.
