4. Main Tasks
A. Capacity Assessment of SCRB
B. Road Asset Management System
C. 5‐Year Road Rehabilitation Program
D. Detailed Design of 5 Roads
The Objective of the Emergency
Road Rehabilitation Project (ERRP) is
to better manage the road assets by
planned rehabilitation of highly
damaged segments of the Country’s
highway and rural road network, re‐
establishing critical river crossings,
and restoring the institutional
capacity to manage and maintain
roads. This would contribute to the
Country’s economic and social
recovery. Also, the project objective is
to provide institution building
support, by providing data
organization, management training,
and by strengthening capacities of the
engineering staff.

Allocated Budget Expenditure
1‐ SCRB has spent almost the total approved budget over the last 2 years, which was an excellent
achievement given the limitations of the political environment.
2‐ The shortfall in achieving the expenditure has been attributed to security reasons in 2003‐2007.
