• W.H.O. estimates that 150 million girls and 73 million boys under 18 have been subjected
to forced sexual violence.
• In 2002 there were 53,000 reported cases of child homicide.
• An eight years old girl from Maxfort School, Rohini, Delhi was molested by a teacher for a
second time in April this year, the last time being in August last year within the school
premises.
