My
degree
gave
me
the
opportunity
to
develop
in
a
wide
range
of
areas:
• My
passion
to
continually
develop
in
knowledge
and

was
nurtured
by
the

the

• My
capacity
for
innovation
was
encouraged
by
the
opportunity
to
design
our
own
laboratory
experiments
and
to
undergo
self-‐led

research.
I
was

• My
confidence
and
communication
skills
were
improved
through
opportunities
to
present
my
studies
to
my
peers
and
departmental
academics.
• My
ability
to
work
as
part
of
a
team
grew
through
a
variety
of
team
based
projects
as
well
as
through
my
election
to
the
student-‐staff
council,
where
we
worked
to
improve
the
course
for
further
years
to
come,
and
also

and
Teaching
Committee
where
we
worked
to
continually
improve
the
process
of
teaching
and

across
the
whole

of
Science.
• My
self-‐motivation
and
discipline
was
greatly
improved
by
my
desire
to
achieve
academic
success
alongside
the
necessity
to
balance
my
time
across
my
studies,
extra-‐curricular
dedications
and
hobbies.
