2. Although I felt that the
lighting was rather good in
this picture a well as it
capturing the cold winter air,
there was no form of direct
address to the audience
which made the picture
completely obscelite. As well
as this, the model is too low
in the frame, leaving too
much room for the masthead,
as it would just be floating at
the top of the page.
3. This also had the same
problem as the previous
image as there is too much
room between the model and
where the masthead will be
situated. As well as this,
there is no face of any model,
making it assumable that
there isn’t even a model in
the coat, just a prop hanging
there, so I can’t definitively
say I have used a model.
4. Yet another image with too
much room between the
model and the masthead.
Also, I feel that the tree is
too encroaching on the model
as it takes away from them
being the focal point. The
model’s facial expression also
seemed very weird, a
confused look which I wasn’t
going for, so it pretty much
ruined the image.
5. This is my preferred first image for my
magazine shoot. Although it still has
the same problem as the other
images, due to the masses of room
between model and masthead place,
the model is actually looking at the
camera, being the shot which includes
direct address.
As well, because of the use of a faster
shutter speed, I was able to capture
wisps of cold air from the model’s
mouth which helped to create the
image of a cold winter’s morning even
more than I had done already.
