2. Medium Shot
The shot is attention grabbing and the model can be clearly seen. Because of the black
background, it makes the model stand out. The hands are at the front of the image so it’s
one of the pinpoints of the image so it attracts the readers interest. The bright orange and
yellow hair stands out against the black background so it captures the reader’s eye. The
person looks like she is shouting and energetic and this image would be good for a rock
magazine. This would be a good front cover because it would interest a reader and there
is enough space to write around the person in the image and writing could even go across
the person too.
3. Full Body Shot This image shows the whole body. The
model has her head tilted down but
most of the face is still clearly seen. The
hair covering one eye gives the model a
dramatic and mysterious look. The dark
purple contrasts with the models light
blonde hair and the white background.
This would grab a readers attention. The
body is angled slightly away from the
camera which shows how well known
the model is. With the model being on
her knees gives her a look of innocence
but still looks confident and slightly
fierce. The prop used is an old styled
microphone which is still well known.
This shows that the singer might sing
old styled music but it is very popular.
This would be good for a front cover or a
double page spread as it is eye catching
and dramatic.
4. Close up
The image is in black and white with gives it an authentic look. The model has her
head slightly down with her eyes closed so it looks like she is deep in thought. The
emotion portrayed in this image could either be calmness or sadness. The thick black
eyelashes contrast against the models pale skin which would draw the readers
attention. This would be good for a front cover because it is simple yet attention
grabbing and makes the reader want to know the story behind this picture. It would
also be good for a double page spread as the one image would be enough to show who
the person is and the type of information that would be on the double page spread.
